Twin Falls -- Annette Dryden Miller, 65, passed away May 11, 2017, following a long battle with Alzheimer's Disease.

Annette was born in Twin Falls, Idaho, on May 5, 1952. She was the fifth and last child born to Edgar and Lucile (Francis) Dryden. The family resided in Jerome, Idaho, where Annette attended school all through her growing years. She enjoyed many school related activities, including being a member of the drill team, attending sporting events, and singing in choir. She loved her classmates and often spoke fondly of her high school days. During these years she also enjoyed spending time on the family farm.

After graduation, Annette attended school at Rick's College. During her young adulthood, she ventured out and lived in Texas, Utah, and California. She eventually returned home to the Magic Valley. On April 4, 1980, she married her sweetheart and dedicated companion, Murle Miller. They were later sealed in the Twin Falls Temple. Together they built a home in Twin Falls, Idaho, raising five children. Annette's children were the light of her life. She truly found joy in watching them grow and did her finest to shape them into the best they could be. She tried to attend every art show, play, sporting event, and church program. While raising her young family, Annette also cared for her own mother who lived with the family for 13 years. Annette was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and served in various callings in Relief Society, the Young Women program, and Primary.

Annette had a soft heart, especially for those who seemed to struggle in life. She had a great sense of humor and loved to laugh. She shared in many friendly practical jokes with her children. She had a great love of music, and one could expect her home to be filled with music during chores, family gatherings, and at Christmas time. She loved working in her yard and grew beautiful flowers and garden produce. She enjoyed swimming, going for walks or bike rides, and doing anything that allowed her to be out in the sunshine. Summer was her favorite season. Her family also fondly remembers the magical Christmases she produced year after year with her thoughtful gifts and delicious treats, especially her English toffee.

Annette is survived by her loving husband, her five children: Joel Miller of Boise, Idaho; Tara (Taylor) Whitney of Kuna, Idaho; Jill (Travis) Turner of Burley, Idaho; Niki (Sean) Kirby of Las Vegas, Nevada; and Jana Miller of Meridian, Idaho; and nine grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters, Dianne Barrett and Elaine (Charles) Hansen both of Twin Falls; one brother, Wes (Vicki Lyn) Dryden of Preston, Idaho; as well as many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Tom Dryden.

Funeral services for Annette will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 19, 2017 at the 5th Ward LDS Church, 2085 south Temple Drive in Twin Falls with Bishop Clark Draney conducting.
